Many years ago, when I should have been too young to think of such things, I knew I wanted to have a daughter that reminded me of why I married her mother. Well since I married a woman who was practically a stranger, that's been tough to come by. But last night I saw in my daughter why I loved my wife!
She cooked an amazing dinner for her daddy and grampy of salmon in a rub she created herself, along with perfectly cooked asparagus. But it wasn't the azazing cooking that impressed me. It was her heart.
The way that she went about trying to do something special for us was really neat. She cared so much and tried so hard that finally we had to tell her to stop and relax it was all great.
Yes, last night I saw my wife in my daughter. Some day some young man will be very lucky. If he gets past me first that is.
