What is a hometown or a home for that matter. I realize that I have been in Kingman for 11 years which equals all of Orange County, CA and exceeds everywhere else. So, what do I pick? And so the question remains unanswered. There are many things I don't have answers for. But, even though I can't name a hometown, home is where I can sing the country song, "The Front Porch Looking In." The idea is that the author of the song has traveled the world and seen the grand paintings from God's hand. But there is never any view so special as when he is on his front porch looking in at his family as they meet him at the door.
That's true for me. I love my girls and it doesn't really matter where we live. If at the end of the day I am with my girls, then I am home. My wife once came to the realization that "God has made us nomads." I think that's so true. We have been called from one place to another never quite sure why. But, in the end, we realize that we are exactly where we belong.
So, what is my hometown? It's where my girls are always waiting and God has called. It's pretty awesome to know you are good with God and loved by the people he has given you.
